Warm up with a mug of this spiced apple cider that’s loaded with all the flavors of fall. For the adults, add a splash of bourbon or dark rum and enjoy by the fire.
Ingredients
- 2 apples
- 2 tsp whole cloves
- 1 gallon apple cider
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 oranges, scrubbed
Steps
- Core the apples and cut into quarters. Press the cloves into apple pieces. Place in a large slow cooker along with the cider and cinnamon sticks.
- Cut the oranges into halves. Squeeze juice into slow cooker. Place squeezed orange halves into slow cooker. Cover and cook on low 4–6 hours. Serve warm on keep warm function.
Comments
Keep any orange or apple peels in the freezer to toss in for extra flavor.
